Utah bankruptcy filings up 2%, but pace slows

The number of Utahns who filed for bankruptcy rose 2 percent in 2011 to the highest level in six years, although the pace of filings declined sharply during the final half of the year. U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Utah officials said Wednesday the court last year received 18,414 filings, up from the 17,968 petitions received in 2010. Salt Lake Tribune
